The Centre for Sports is an organizational unit of the University of Rijeka, without legal personality, for conducting professional activities in the field of improving student standards, primarily in sports, recreation, and health maintenance.
Activities:
- Improving the student standards in the domains of sport and recreation, and the health of students and University employees.
- Development of physical education culture as an integral part of psychological, mental, and social health.
- Implementation of professional work in the field of sports following the Sports Act and in collaboration with the University Sports Association Rijeka, the Student Centre Rijeka, and the support of the Croatian Academic Sports Association.
- Administrative and professional support for sports and recreational programs and activities.
- Informing and counseling both categorized and uncategorized student-athletes on the available support and ways of exercising their rights.
