Organized by the Croatian Academic Sports Federation, the national university championship known as UniSport Finals represents the most important sporting event for students in Croatia. This year, it will take place in Poreč from May 28 to 31, 2026, during which the city becomes the center of academic sport for several days.
UniSport Finals brings together more than a thousand student-athletes from various universities and polytechnics across the country. During the competition, participants compete in a wide range of sports. Qualifying for the finals itself is already a significant achievement, as students must first prove themselves through regional and qualification competitions.
Although results and medals are in the spotlight, the event also has a broader social dimension. Students from different cities have the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences, and build new friendships. This combination of competition and social interaction is what makes UniSport Finals a unique event in student life.
The national championship is not only the conclusion of the season but also a stepping stone to international competitions. The most successful teams and individuals often secure placements in European and world university championships, where they represent Croatia. In this way, the competition in Poreč gains additional importance as a key stage in the development of young athletes.
National championships are held in futsal, football, basketball, 3×3 basketball, volleyball, water polo, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, kickboxing, judo, swimming, e-sports, handball, beach volleyball, karate, badminton, chess, athletics, padel, wrestling, and beach wrestling.
